Actually, the DBZ cyber gear fits all to perfectly on him. I wonder if a movie could get away with that without it being obvious. Me? I'd like to see a semi realistic but still sinister version of him. Like, if you combined SatAM's Robotnik with Eggman from 2006. Yeah, I know you guys hate him, but still.

Robotnik would be like the the African Dictator from the Last King of Scotland. Well, that and Theodore Roosevelt, a kinky Santa Clause, Jabba the Hutt, Darth Vader, Saddam Hussien, Joseph Stalin, and a Terminator Robot. That being said, I think the proper character to base him off of would be two depictions of Herod the Great of the Nativity story. One would be how he's depicted in the Nest cartoon. A more than capable military leader/governor who does something horrible out of paranoia. The other from the 1977 "Jesus of Nazareth" Trilogy, using the same guy that does the voice for King John from the animated Robin Hood (with animals) as the goofy, almost teddy bear like but still vicious side. The first would be the obvious vicious dictator that has military experience and maybe old (or in this case, fat) but beneath it there is some hardened battle scarred tissue inside (physically and emotionally). This would be the side he shows the mobians he's trying to destroy or enslave.

The fatter Herod would be the "friendlier" Eggman persona he would put on to seem more likeable, almost like a Santa Clause/theodore roosevelt that so happens be a benevolent dictator of a country, dressed somewhere between a japanese snowboarder and a British Redcoat. 

So, when in his own element, he would be sat am, but when trying to cover up his war crimes to the Mobian Equivalent of the Geneva Conventions, he would cover up his evil eyes with a pair of blue sunglasses and puff up his mustache to make it look bushier and more friendly to children. We would see the goofy, almost japanese carnival looking robots(like the snipers in cartoony outfits from Dead man wonderland), but back at the homefront it's straight up Terminator Salvation/ Star Wars Droid army invading cities and leveling forests.

That being said, what if his suit is more like modern armor than just something out of an 80s sci fi movie, WOW, or a FF game? Like his red shirt is actually a different take on what soldiers wear (IOTV/IBA), and the shoulder pauldrons that are there for show would actually be the sleeve protectors similar to what soldiers use now to protect their arms from shrapnel (also, look at what brother hood of steel/Enclave have on thier shoulders/upper arms). It comes down like that.

He should still show his muscles, but in combat he might have like what the gladiators had, that leather sleeve that covered the top half of their arm. It would look like Adventure's Sonic's PINGAS robotnik's sleeves, but only covering one side of his non roboticized arm, still being able to see the arm underneath it. And he would keep the work gloves but have PIP BOY like gauntlent (at least in battle) for a heavy metal bracer, with bits and peices of plate armor on his legs and boots (kind of like the Imperial boots from skyrim). Like he would look just like he did in Satam in that regard, but when actually engaging battle after he had prep time he would don that armor that would fit over what he wears. I wonder if he should have like a wreath like the Roman leaders would wear? Maybe attached to his goggles like his goggles were also part of his crown?

Meh, don't take the wrong way. Your artwork just got me thinking. Fav.
