This is a truly wonderful piece. Every aspect is perfectly blended for a very realistic look. But of course if it was real, I'd be scared out of my wits! The model's positioning is effectively creepy by itself, but the addition of the birds jumps the creepy factor up a couple of notches. And they're blurred perfectly to show that they're more there in essence than in actuality. The lighting was perfectly achieved as well, which is a bit of a feat as well, considering that's one of the most difficult aspects of a photomanipulation for most. All around, a great job! The only thing I'd have to mark off for is originality. When I read the title, the only thing I can think of is 'I've never heard silence quite this loud.' So, even though it's an old phrase, I think you did very well at giving your own view of it; I've never seen it interpreted like this before!
