On the day King Dice found out about Lucky Shot's famously lucky singing, he convinced his old friend to work for the casino. Devil would definitely like to get his casino back on its feet, especially after what has happened with the Cuphead and Mugman incident. The problem was that Devil wasn't easily impressed and if Lucky wanted to be immune to Devil's soul contracts to keep his tail and his soul intact, he will have to somehow find a way to gain his trust or at least prove his worth.

So what does he do? He informs both the Devil and King Dice that in order to give his singing a top boost, he must be held at a high ground level so his luck can match the height and raise their chances of getting the best luck the casino could use. What was the catch? The process can only be completed with combining a pair of merciless hearts together and the Devil and Dice happen to fit the description perfectly enough to complete the process.

Devil, refusing to carry someone he doesn't find worthy of anything yet, had no choice but to carry King Dice on his shoulders... And he's definitely not a light fella. Dice finds this process strange but he knew better than to defy his boss's orders, so he carries Lucky Shot on his arms. The Devil's shaking causes Dice to struggle to remain balanced.

As for our lucky black cat friend, he pays no attention and happily lends his luck through the entire casino with no care in this world. He gives his song an epic ending by bowing his head and catching his toppling top hat with his hand and a kick for good measure.

When all men are back on the ground, Lucky reveals one more thing to the duo before him:

He was just fucking with them.

After an endless amount of rants coming from the Devil himself, Lucky's convincing actions proved to the Devil that he could use his charming words (and lies) to get people to do as he wanted. Lucky got the job along with the Devil's awareness that with a teensy bit of good fortune, Lucky Shot can make a fine addition to the company.

Te digo si Lucky no fuera valioso para el casino, Diablo le pudiera partirle la madre por ser payaso. Para que se le quite.
