Carrying the family curse from a very young age had a strong effect on the girl and she is afraid of herself. Everything her bare skin touches turns to gold, leaving her overly fretful in everything she does. Ophira refuses to go anywhere (or near anyone) without the majority of her skin covered. Even so, she doesn't handle well anyone touching even her clothes. Everyday in her mind is a battle aginst herself. Aside from that she is a gentle soul.

History: Like many older stories Ophira is not the first to inherrit the story she bears, her father and grandfather before her both were given a 'touch of gold'. Her Grandfather was true to the story, weeping true tears and begging to restore her aunt from the golden statue that his touch had turned her into. In true story fashion all of the gold was removed from the kingdom and the king eventually had a son, Ophira's father. Her father found gold early in life and it was his true love. When the time came for him to forgo his gold for her.. Ophira's father didn't. Eventually the fairy took pity on her, but from that day on the girl was cursed with the touch of gold. A lesson needed to be learned.
