Description
Naomi Armitage from Armitage III, standing atop a cliff overlooking the city of St. Lowell on Mars. Fans may note the silver jet pack. It was only depicted as silver in the preview clip for the 4th OVA episode. At all other times it was shown as black, but I decided I liked it as silver for this particular piece. You don't see enough Armitage fan art so I decided to make some myself.Check out the other one over here:
Armitage III - Heart Core
Armitage III holds a special place in my heart as one of the few animes that I've really connected with. Sure I enjoy plenty of action-explosion-drama-mystery shows but it's the ones that touch on the human condition and what it is to be human that I like most of all. Cyberpunk and sci-fi that deal with themes of discrimination against robots are really just an allegory for discrimination against our fellow humans. Just love your neighbor and let your neighbor love you back. To quote the back of the Poly-Matrix DVD case:
This is a story about technology and emotion. About hatred and love. About a human on the verge of becoming a machine and a machine on the verge of becoming a human.
It is a story of survival.

Yeah the first movie, Poly-Matrix (90 minutes), is a cut-down version of the 4 OVA episodes (140 minutes) with some different voice actors and a little bit of new footage to make sure it all made sense in a 'theatrical' format with the other 50 minutes missing.
See Amazon
