me and CarpeNatem made up a little story that goes with this, but I wanna let you guys brainstorm on what's going on it involves older Sonic & Sally, dealing with a stressful moment in life.this was a little doodle I came up with, but I ended up colouring it lol

I am a SonAmy fan, but I can have my other ships~.
"Sonic! THAT was NOT FUNNY!" She glared, her face turned red as her azure eyes shook with embarrassment and hidden rage. Her hedgehog-of-a-boyfriend smirked, chewing the side of his mouth, puffing a cheek to hide his laughter.
"Sal, you know it was." He teased cheekily, winking.
~FLASH BEACK!~
"Sally Alicia Acorn..." Sonic's voice ebbed with 'passion', as he made his way towards her. Blue eyelids half lowered over his shimmering emerald gaze. The auburn haired chipmunk's ear twitched, as she lowered her AI computer, named Nichole, from her face with a pink hedgehog by her.
"Erm?" She shifted back, seeing Sonic approached her in such a manner. Amy's grin grew wider, as she bounced on her toes, giggling.
Her jade eyes twinkled in amusement as Sally gaped. Sonic then slightly beckoned Amy, as she nodded, knowing her place. Sure, she might love the blue blur, but if he was happy, then she was too! Besides... She couldn't deny. Sally and Sonic made a great duo! The cherry colored hedgehog smiled softly, nudging Sally before skipping away from her side. She had no intent to intrude.
"I'll just talk with Bunnie instead~" Amy then whispered, before making her way out, humming a tune 'can you feel the love tonight.'
"W-w-, Amy?! Com-come back!" Sally blinked, attempting to reach out for the pink female accomplice with a pink color tainted onto her muzzle.
"Hey Sal~, why are you leavin' so soon~?" He purred her name, zipping in front her. She jumped, glaring slightly before stiffening.
"I- I have no time for thi-" Before she could finish, he dipped on one knee. Her blue eyes widened in recognition at the gesture. The tradition of--
"I must tell you something..." He grasped her hand, lidded gaze never leaving her flustered one.
Marriage.
"Sonic--" Her breath hitched as he continued.
"Would you..."
"Yes...."
"Sally Acorn..."
"..."
"Grab the ring..."
"......"
"My ring..."
"!!"
"Behind you?"

Meh, its up to you. I support SonAmy for many reasons. I don't mind if you don't like it, XD. I can see why.
For me its more like:
SonAmy --> Comedy and personality wise pairing. I like how energetic it is, and how they both have more in common than SonAlly. Both are immature to an extent, both have similar actions/reactions, both are easily bored, both love being heroistic and on the run. Though I have my peeves. I don't ship it on a serious level. More like teasers and chases. I don't want it to be cannon or anything :^). I can't see it. Probably in another cannon like Sonic Bewm/manga 1992. Other cannons? Thats a hell-no houston. That would be a problem. Another problem with it, Amy's way on handling jealousy/winning his affection. Sometimes I don't mind it, sometimes I tease her, and sometimes I just don't like it. I wish that SEGA would make her more mature in a romantic department like Sally.
SonAlly --> A more serious, and take-to-a-next-level opposite attracts standard. Believe it or not, I used to hate this couple because of the representation it had done to Sally in the Ken Penders/Boilers reign. After SATAM and Ian, I found a bit more redeemable qualities. I still have quite a few peeves of this coupling too though.. I felt like the compatibility wasn't all there in the SonAlly issues. It didn't seem at all like Sonic, what he'd do, and frankly, it made me underestimate Sally. Its like a cliche. I don't know how, but its an ideal cliche that I don't think it would work well with Sonic's personality in the long run IF we were sticking to the Sonic!game personality. Sonic Comic, SATAM, etc? I can see it more fitting.

Amy x Sonic --> A lively and more dynamic coupling. Amy would suit his lifestyle and most likely be the most mobile girl for him. However, by SEGA mandate and plot wise, I can't get anywhere. Hands are tied.
Sally x Sonic --> It may not be as energetic and freedomistic as SonAmy, but Sally compliments him in a few positive ways depending on the view point. Compared to Amy, however, she'd have a bit more of a complication to suit Sonic and his freedom nature to the point they could rub off on each other in the wrong way.

To be honest, now in the terms of now, I am half/half with SonAlly. I hate it, then I like/neutral of it. I ship it in SATAM, but I hated it in the comics. Its not my OTP material, but I like it a hell of a lot more than any other Sonic pairing like SonOuge, SonAze, SONADOW, etc.... To be honest, I am anti-pro SonAlly. I don't even know how that works. I hate it, then I find my ways on liking it. Damn it. I don't know if I should keep it, or not. Recommendations?

my theory:
Sonic was cooking chili dogs along with his young damsel, princess Sally of all Acorns, including the green ones. He was in the royal kitchen of royalty making a large ruckus. As the princess walked in with her royal robe, and bags under her lapis eyes, she took a cup of nutmeg mixed with nutella mixed with espresso. She slowly gulped down the mixed u.
Sonic then shoved the chili dogs into the oven. He set the timer to over 9000. He then sat at the table Sally was at. "Hey Sal, I'm making the BEST chili dogs ever. Just for you and me." Sonic said full of caca-ness. "Oh, that's great, sweetie. That's great." Sally fell half asleep. Sonic stated at her for a while and thought she was cute. While the chipmunk snored, she puffed her cheeks.
Sonic slowly poked her too see if she was alive. Then there was a very SOFT collision. The explosion was bigger than anything. Sally then woke up angrily. Her espresso was all of her face and her mascara was dripping down her face. Sonic held the two chili dogs. "Chili dogs m'lady? Here-" Sally then threw a walnut against Sonic's head. SOFTLY-.
Moral of the story; whenever there is a giant anthropomorphic squirrel in the house, put things in the microwave SOFTLY. Or else ze giant squirrel lady will come and stalk you.

You know what I'm happy that you did? YOU GAVE SALLY A SHIRT. God, when I used to watch the old Sonic cartoon, whenever I saw Sally, I would start blushing because she was exposed XD I mean, you can clearly see that whoever made the cartoons was a perv XD

not entirely...
they are technically a cross between humans and animals, but I believe that when they're young (like in SATAM) they don't necessarily have to wear clothing? they're just kids, and plus they have fur, so it wouldn't be much big of a deal.
but when they're older (say for example, in this picture) I draw them in clothing because... yeah. When you age you develop and I just feel more comfortable drawing them that way when they are older.
