My present/gift (whatever is said) for Happy birthday, Shiffy! Now where's the cake? o3o *gets ready to hear the truth about the lie*

What an Imperial dragoness, the words "derp" and "bro" and Link has in common? NOTHING. But the Imperial dragoness like all three.

I always knew Shiff loves Link and the Zelda games, especially Wind Waker but this idea only came after surfing on her site on a quest for clues of what else she likes and that's when I found that she says "bro" a lot and likes the word "derp". There... Idea baked and ready to serve.

I never played Wind Waker so I am not too sure about if that Toon Link is the same looking Link in WW but I tried. Also the background is not very accurate. This is the very first time I draw Toon Link and toony water. Both I did based on screenshots from the game that I used as ref. My apologies if they didn't came out as in the game. By the way... I tried the same coloring style they used in the game. Well... I tried to make it look like it at least. Very first time I color like that. Color Link took me foreeeeeeeeeeever! Also, if you look carefully, you'll see an island behind Link's sword. Again speaking of the background, I had no idea of what to make for the background until I got the coloring of the characters done, which was just a few hours ago. o.o

Well, I've worked hard for four days on this. I actually have tried to think of what to draw about two weeks ago so I wouldn't have to rush and stop my other works but the idea and inspiration only came four days ago.

Shiff is fun to draw but I confess I had troubles on getting her design right. She's not easy for someone who is not used to draw her and usually needs to practice before doing so. At many moments I thought I wouldn't be able to make it and for many times I thought about giving up on this and thinking of something else to do but... I haven't failed at all on the last two times I drew her, It's not now with better skills that I would, right?

Speaking of Shiff's design... Since her final design is not finished as far as I know, I've based myself on the last final design she made. Even so I based a few details on the newest test releases like the fins for example (fins, is that right? ). However I decided to stay with the two whiskers instead of the four ones present on the latest designs Shiff made. Not just that I like only one set of them (I think two look better than four) but in fact, since I haven't heard about a final new design I thought it better to do what had been set before: Only one set of whiskers.

Her shoulders look that big because I noticed on *Sevilai 's designs that Shiff is indeed a tad "bulky" where more muscles are present. It was originally supposed for her to be standing and waving at Link but I couldn't make her hands/paws so I changed it.

That expression is supposed to express her excitement for being so close to Link and so are the shaky lines all around her. Like if she is trembling of happiness and excitement. I'd say she's holding herself to not bounce on him. lol

I thought about drawing Link's boat back on the water but that would give extra work I couldn't handle at the moment due to the fact that I wouldn't be able to finish this today (Saturday, 28th, August).

I think I've said everything I could say about this work. I've worked hard on it to get it done in time. I haven't made anything but work on this since I had the idea four days ago. Now I will sketch a dragon for a friend and then rest.

Happy Birthday Shiff. I hope you like it. It is simple, but I did with care.

P.S: I hope you don't mind I didn't made the earring and for using that design.
