This image speaks very powerfully to me. This is exactly why I cosplay! Because being me means being OCD, socially inept, and nervous all the time, but when I cosplay, I can become who I am not; someone who can feel comfortable in any situation, someone who can start a conversation and continue it, and someone who does not have an all out panic attack when she loses five dollars.

Well, it means that our feelings may be hurt in many ways throughout our lives, but being someone else temporarily gives us an excuse not to be who we are, and the burden that comes along with who we are.
