Description

This artwork depicts a weapon which is a part of my sci-fi world's lore. Do not copy the design, use it in your own artworks, or claim it as your own!

This is a remake of my original Tamar SMG design, which you can find HERE . Apart from updating the art style, I also changed many design elements of it, as the original version was a slightly weird mix of modern-looking parts (like the polymer grip/foregrip assembly) with very old-style and crude ones (like the wire stock). I think this new version is more consistent through and through. 😁

Lore and Description:
The Tamar is a compact submachine gun manufactured by Syaff Weapon Division, a manufacturer from a small independent nation of Hebrion. It is a heavily modified and modernized version of SWD's famous Grav submachine gun, which is both famous for helping Hebrioni people gain their independence, and infamous for its popularity among criminal organizations. The Tamar is easily concealed and surprisingly controllable, as its heavy bolt gives it a slower-than-one-might-expect rate of fire of just about 600 RPM. The weapon features a plastic pistol grip/foregrip combo, a simple extendable wire stock and an acessory rail for mounting sights. It is an affordable weapon which is not only used by the military, but also by many security organizations around the world.

Inspiration and Background Information:
The foregrip portion is based on the Magpul PDR-C, while the pistol being more Uzi-like. Also the lore behind this weapon is somewhat inspired by the Uzi. The stock is inspired by SIG MPX.
