Description I had noticed lately that a lot of my apophysis work was more a collection of techniques, rather than pieces of art, and while I have been learning the program... diligently... I have only recently begun thinking of it as I would a program like ultrafractal. I really do work in a layered mindset, and now that I have the hang of apophysis, I can really get my hands dirty. This particular piece was created with 2 different flames put together in ps.

Enjoy!

I try to look at everyone's page who visits me... just been super bizza, and haven't really had time to comment back much...

I should put some poetry up and see what you think.

Oh very nice! Are those star like parts in the background post work or a fractal?

.

thanks.

all the stars are part of the one flame.. the streaks are another.

Ooooh, very nice work then .

I think I have only done 1 multi flame fractal, I was considering working on fractals for the background, but never got around to finishing it lol.

Thanks.

I don't think I will be doing very many more single flame fractals... These are just too much fun.

How do you get such awesome gradients to do waht you want? I have a helluva time with colors...

I go through a lot of gradients... over and over. The grand majority of them are the standard ones.

One thing that I did learn was to use decimal values on your final transform to make it brighter... So for instance, if you use the final transform on linear 1... its about half as bright as on linear .5. Try it, you can squeeze a lot more out of the darker gradients.

Playing with the gradient window... and using multiple transforms go a long way as well. I am finding that it works very well to create a tiled flame and apply a final transform to it.
