thanks fractasia!
I like your mbf piece only shades of grey... mbf seems like it could be a bit of fun.

You're welcome.
It is... It's interesting, but it takes quite a bit more time in finding the right equation than UF... I'm already saving money to buy it! Yay.

It's a chocolate fantasy! How ingenious of you to give us a macro view of the creations of a mad pastry chef. I see ganache, shaved chocolate, powdered cocoa and total yumminess.

pastry chefs aren't mad... they are just really hyper from all the taste testing... studies show they slow down about 10 years after retirement.. lolz.
I love your siggie btw.. I have quoted it a few times already... it sounds really familiar but I can't place it...

Now I've this weird visual of The Home for Retired Pastry Chefs.
I stole the quote from Adam the geek on Mythbusters.
My favorite is a Poe quote:
Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.

ha ha.. you are quite welcome.
I wonder what they do if they are served 2nd grade chocolate pudding for dessert....
bout the quote... knew it sounded familar... bells and whistles goin off after you said that... can't believe I couldn't place it..
those two are a definate pair... one of my favorite shows.. no wonder... lol

thanks! I am liking the more abstract formulae.

Great abstract fractal ! I specialy like what you did with the background.

Thanks! I usually don't think abstractly and tend to recreate things that already exist when doing fractals... so this was a great little exercise.
The background is a tia layer, with a different tia layer over top of it masked with an fbm layer (those darker/lighter patches) I used a layer that had dark outstretched arms/banding in black and white and differenced it over the other three to give the bursting outward effect...
if you want I can send ya the params... it turned out very nicely and I don't mind sharing as it can be used for loads of different effects. (I also used the same type of thing in the centers of the harlequin shapes in falls embrace.. only I used a chips layer with it as well instead of the black and white banding... makes it fade cloudy like..)
anyway.. I am rambling.. glad you like it! Will definately see you around.
cheers!
