If Duke had his own book when the My Thomas Story Library book series was running, I can imagine it being based on Granpuff and Sleeping Beauty. There would be two changes; the Tidmouth Sheds scenes would be removed, and the story of Smudger would be removed and replaced with Duke just telling Stuart and Falcon (Peter Sam and Sir Handel) that if they don't behave, they'll be sent away.
