Description I made this render quite a long time ago. It was an experiment to see what kind of resolutions I could work with.

This is the one world I used for a long time to make some of my earliest renders. I will list the other renders I made below,

If i had one word to describe this image ... it would be: - WOW - It is just so ... wow , i mean , the mountains , the biomes , a huge space for the desert , and a gigantic forest , just something that we can only see in minecraft. That biome transition is perfect , the vision we have from the world... the lava down in the mountain over there ... everything is just so wow... and also... i have to clap hands to your computer ... now while i was writing , i just realized those rivers, going like all connected through the biomes. It all is just so perfect that... as i said: WOW.

This is surely a piece of pure art and effort! It represents perfectly the world of Minecraft; I couldn't tell if it was from the original game or a render until I read the description.
The thing I mostly liked were the shadows and the geographical effect of mountains, small sand dunes or deeeper parts in the water. Those were a very nice work! You can see clearly that it has differences between them, and that gives some more realism (considering that this world is based on cubes) The color palettes are very important too, specially for the trees. The way you used all of these details gives, in the end, a magnificent piece. Congratulations!

Wow!Β Β I mean, really! WOW!Β Β
It's like observing the world map of a role-playing adventure game, except there's no place names on parchment scrolls.Β Β
Those mountains look really amazing!Β Β And for the record, I did spot a village in the plains and a sandstone temple in the desert.Β

Looks really nice from that angle, with all the biomes, rivers and cliff formations.

I wanted to write a critique on this but unfortunately my browser crashes each time I'm trying to zoom in the picture LOL
Other than that, it's a fantastic landscape! I wish I could have seen some of my earlier worlds rendered this way, it would have been so awesome.

I've had a lot of people tell me their browsers crash when they try to zoom into the image. You might try downloading it and zooming into on your computer.
