The Culdee Fell Railway (CFR) is Sodor's only rack narrow gauge railway with a 2'3" (686mm) gauge.

The railway's engines were built in Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works but modified at Crovan's gate to fit the gauge. The line climbs up to the Culdee Fell Summit from Kirk Machan.

After years of service, the railway expands around the Mountain connecting a few villages to the rest of the island. The CFR opened up a ballast mine along the new branch line.

Godred had his accident but he was never scrapped, his parts were used for the others but his boiler was just thrown behind the shed. In 1960 the rusty boiler was sent to the Crovan's Gate Steam Works for a full rebuild, and when the new engine was finished and fired, Godred came back, but he was changed. Age showed on his face. They used the original boiler of Godred, and that's why he was able to come back.

The railway's owners are Walter Richards & Peregrine Percival.

These are the engines of the CFR and their jobs:
1. Godred - ballast mine ONLY (banned from passengers);
2.Ernest - passagers trains;
3.Wilfred - passagers trains;
4.Culdee - passager trains;
5. Shane Dooiney - maintenance with the Truck;
6. Patrick - goods on the branch line;
7. Alric-goods up the Mountain ;
8. Eric --goods up the Mountain ;
9. Mangus - passengers on the branch line;
10. Dennis - maintenance;
11. Norman - maintenance;
12.Mario - ballast mine (export);
14. Wilson - Kirk Machan pilot;
15. Wiliam - Kirk Machan pilot.

Nr. 14. and 15. AREN'T mountain engines, they aren't made for climbing, they usually stay in the yard, or go outside the CFR to bring in coal.

Nr. 7 and 8 pull the goods train up the line, one at the front and the other at the back.
