Hercule is a demon who has the ability to magically imbue binding words to parchment between two persons or parties. As a demon he retains the power to bind deals to souls, it is only natural for his presence to be apparent in a place of commerce. His business in reality is the personal scribe for a specific merchant guild only making an appearance to WizardPalooza.

He really dislikes being associated or called a 'lawyer'.

Making Deals
Hercule considers himself a very reasonable man. Of course, that means he's suspect to bribery. If you need a certain clause secretly imbued into the contract, he may do it for the right price.

The Office
Hercule himself is under a magical contract, but is far too busy to leave his office.
Magical contracts take an absorbent amount of time to draft.

The solution? Bring the office door to Palooza.
As a result the only way to reach him is through the detached door to his office.
Naturally you should knock.

Breaching a Contract
Naturally these contracts adhere to magical law.
Fullfill the obligation you signed for, otherwise face death or death-like consequences.
(Not necessarily true, consequences can also be specified by the signatory.)

This assures a higher success rate of both parties to act within the required stipulations of the contract, without fail.
