Who is the fairest of them all?I spent most of today painting this. It's the most detail-intesive piece I've done in a long time. For reference, I used one of *siona 's many beautiful photographs, Snow White Story . (update: link fixed) Thank you so much, Alexa !
Technical details: Freehand Photoshop 6.0 airbrush painting. Wacom graphire2.

She disappears more effectively into the white in your painting than in the photo, nice touch. She looks as if she were rising out of the light.
The hair is absolutely gorgeous. It hangs so messily around her. The detail in the strands is amazing, like you could almost run your hands through it. I would have to agree that her eyes do look awkward. They could be too big and the angle looks a little off. But if you wanted them to look exactly like the photo, you wouldn't have bothered painting it. The eyes here are more interesting though. They have depth and color. They grab you.

i love how her white dress flows into the neg space in the painting ...makes the white seem well ..not so white
Her skin looks like porcelain and is such a beautifull contrast to her eyes and her lips yum yum yum and her hair
can really tell you put a lot of time into her...she has a definite attitude about her making her even more 3d and real life seeming

Well, you wowed me. The only lil thing I can see that could be wrong is the cleavage shadow. It seems a bit flat. Beautiful picture, definitely worth the time!

This is absolutly beautiful. I love the contrast. Blue eyes, red lips, black hair, and fair skin all on white.
The way the dress fades into the backround is also very good.

I watched today again series of deviant pictures, but your pieces are still undefeatable. I really really like this one. It's so excessive in details and realism, but still you tried to keep up your own style. The black'n'white contrast between her snow-white dress and her raven-black hair is just smashing. The hair is changing between photorealism and stylistic comic art. Seems like you tried to find a transition between detailed parts and poor reduction. The eyes are a thing for theirselves, cuz here you "copied" your own style of earlier works. I didn't watched your links, but her nose seems a bit strong to me. Is it really intended to look so? There's also something with her face I can not totally explain. Left face side is very full and it seems quite o.k. to me, but either you intended to strech the perspective or you designed her right face side to flat. Maybe also the left side is too strong ( especially her cheek ). It's also possible that you wanted to let her left face side look older than the right ones to create a contrast, but that's just my view of it. Still this little critic it's again an astonishing piece with some awesome colour and style contrasts.

huney ... after extensive reviewing of siona's work and her model .. . i think you made her head just a bit too large and her clavical region is a bit funny but other than that ... i like your idea and direction was going iwth this but yeh just those thnings came to mind ... anyway yeh ... i was going through sionas photos and they are just beautiful each one more warmer than the next thansk for puttin and choosing to make your own rendition ot her work on here and the link ... anywa yeh back to you i like how you do things and they make me wonder ... and yeh thanks for encouragin meto satrt painting again ... ive got a painting but i dont have a digital camera to take a shot of it ... so yeh ... but i will start painting again ... thank you ... you to me are a beauty that sits quietly under a mist of air in the ray of sun awaiting to be found .. and im glad i found you you are one of my most respected artists on this site and you my friend are very beautiful ... your heart springs inpsiration to my head and i thank you for it ... soo yeh ... i hope i wasnt too harsh ... cause the last thing i wont is a tear to your eye
