Description
Features my old-ish brush settings tooSo this is mostly how I do all those nice glowy stuff on my pictures. This is a quick drawing of Tempaela which took no more than 5 minutes to make to the final picture. I certainly hope it helps someone out there. The lightning is very extreme but that is to show how it could look like or something. You can play with transparency too. I'd suggest you also adjust the transparency of your overlay layer so that not all the things become suddently blue or whatever colour you desided to use. With basically the same technique you can also make some nice magic spell looking stuff. For the more complex looking glowy stuff I do however recommend you to use an airbrush instead of a controlled pen or whatever. It's much more softer and all. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
EDIT
Argh sorry for my terrible handwriting ;_;
EDIT 2
Also I usually do the background first but oh well :/
EDIT 3
Where are people finding this tutorial
Oh yeah and also, here is a protip:
Remember to put the airbrush density to something else than 100%. I sometimes forget it and the lightning looks much better if you use something less than 100%. However, for extreme lights I sometimes do use airbrush at 100% density.
