Description
Some webtoons I've been reading have made me really want to make my own comic, but I always hit one large problem. I'm not good at writing stories or keeping a pacing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯How do you even open a story?

I know writing a story on it's own is hard enough...but putting them into comics.
I look at sailor moon, Card captor ect. and think these people we're truly gifted to us from the heavens.
I'd give it go and take it at your own pace.

Finally Jordan's base colors!! Was waiting for these. As for stories, I usually just start with confusing my readers by not explicitly stating who is talking. Always start with an interesting hook, something no one will expect to pull in the readers.

i know what you mean but how you start the book also sets the pacing of the story so if i start big and quick then Id have to keep that pace, it would throw readers off and make them think the slower pace after the beginning is boring and they'll just want the action to start again. the Rp universe for instance sure we are all writing stories and adventures for it but at its core it truly is character centric how they interact with each other is the main point.

Awesome!
And a good way to figure out how to start a story is to look at how your favorite authors do it. Like the goddess herself, J.K. Rowling. "The Dursley's of number 4, Privit drive would like you to know that they are perfectly normal, thank you very much."

true, a bit more helpful so far I've written the base of a script introducing three main characters through a funeral and the graveyard and mortuary on it.

That's a beautiful character and great style !
As for the story, I usually like to begin it in a situation, with a lot of action OR something that really catches the attention (like never will I begin a story with "My name is X, I have Y yo and I like ponies" situation)

thanks, this is definitely a bit of a help, though i cont think character narration on intro would set my comic up to well, this has definitely helped me think of some more unorthodox methods of setting the mood and pace of my comic.
idk, but would you read a comic that opened with someone walking through a graveyard where a funeral is being held?

Yes I would, because I'd be curious about who's the character, who's funeral it is, and as it's in the beginning, it's obviously something important for the plot, so I'd wonder about how it will make everything begin

That's great, I definitely have the opening started now it's just a matter of using my time to sketch and find a way to draw it out cohesively
