Hi all! To celebrate the milestone of 20,000 followers on Instagram (thank you guys so much omg! <3 ), I have created my very own DTIYS (Draw This In Your Style) Challenge! This challenge features a brand new superdeity wingless Lorebellex QuillDog named Cascade!

Cascade, a member of the elite Lorebellex guard, is said to cause streams to flow wherever she roams. Her true size is massive-- she can traverse mountaintops with each step! Cascade is also the only known wingless Lorebellex at this time-- and also the only Lorebellex to sport hind quills! They say that the wishing well water that makes up most Lorebellex's quill-wings, is said to run from Cascade's body freely, causing new springs and streams wherever she goes. Some speculate that the other Lorebellex wings' wishing well water originally came from her springs and streams. Cascade is one of Lore's personal friends-- a spirit from many, many moons ago that was brought into the Aquilli world to aid it long ago. Now that the Lorebellex guard has all but disbanded, she spends many days bringing water to those who desperately need it--in arid and drought-ridden places. Cascade is well-respected among QuillDogs, is a benevolent, mythical beast of legend and lore, and well-respected among the elite Lorebellex guard itself.

What is DTIYS? How does it work?
A DTIYS (Draw This In Your Style) challenge is when an artist creates a piece of work, and encourages others to create the same piece-- but in their own style, interpretation, media! You are free to take as much artistic liberty and inspiration as you'd like with this challenge. Please feel free to use your favorite form of media (digital, traditional, clay, video, music, anything!) to create your own interpretation of this piece. You are welcome to make as many entries as you like! Feel free to pose the character in any way your please, etc.

Please note that any pieces that display sensitive or controversial material will be considered invalid/not recognized by this challenge.

How long is the challenge?
The challenge will last approximately ONE MONTH; entries will be considered valid if entered by 5:00 PM CST, Tueday, November 13, 2020. Any entries entered beyond this time will be automatically invalid.

What do I get for completing this challenge?
I will be favoriting and sharing all entries to my stories, that I come across on my Instagram feed! To make sure your piece is found and considered valid, please use the following hashtag, which I will check daily:

After the challenge time elapses (that Tuesday evening), all entries will be reviewed, and I will choose my personal favorite! My personal favorite will be awarded the superdeity wingless Lorebellex QuillDog displayed in the piece, including four associated PNG files!

Please note that Lorebellex QuillDogs are EXCEEDINGLY rare-- they cannot be bought or commissioned; they can ONLY be earned! This is an incredible opportunity for someone wanting to obtain a very very rare QuillDog! <3

Before entering Corabelle, Lore, the creation superdeity of Aquilli (land where QuillDogs call home) created an intricate, elite secret guard to protect Corabelle (and, in turn, herself). She elected to name this elite guard the Lorebellex-- noting the combination of Lore and Corabelle for the namesake.

Lorebellex QuillDogs are a specialized subspecies of QuillDogs-- while some may sport crests of quills on their rumps, they also sport them at the back of the head and neck, and often times on their paws. This is to help protect their amazing minds; the Lorebellex are not only intelligent, but they have many mind-related abilities, such as telekinesis, mind control and clairvoyance. Lorebellex can come in any color, and always sport a thin, lithe frame and muzzle. For many moons, the Lorebellex stood guard, quietly protecting Corabelle through thick and thin. Many dark groups hunted the Lorebellex, who sought to kill them all in order to kill Lore herself.

When the season was right and time fell to her favor, Lore burst forth from Corabelle's spine, in pursuit of the darkness that continued to haunt the world she lived in-- particularly the Beast and the shadows that lurked in the darkest corners of the earth. She continues to do so to this day, keeping balance, creation and destruction of the QuillDogs' world. As gracious thanks for their services, Lore has bestowed immortality and freedom to those who were once members of the Lorebellex elite secret guard -- including Cascade! Many Lorebellex members now roam the earth, pursuing their interests, helping others, continuing to guard Corabelle and Lore of their own free will, and even guarding other creatures who need such protection. Some say that the Lorebellex never truly disbanded.. but that's a story for another day.

If you win the design:

What you see is what you will receive. You are able to utilize this design for anything you please, from roleplay to other artwork and beyond-- with the exception of breeding (however, exceptions can be made to the breeding rule-- please note me if interested)! You may alter it (but must make sure it is unique enough from all other designs—major changes must be confirmed by me; please check with me for clarifications), you may re-upload it (but must keep my watermark/signature and list me as the original creator in the description of the uploaded piece). You are free to change name, description, attributes etc. If you have any other questions concerning your rights to the design if you win it, I’ll be more than happy to answer them, so just ask!
