This is my entry into the Artist Avatar Challenge here on DeviantArt! My entry is being submitted into the "overall" category. Most of the art I bring to life currently usually surrounds the creation and development of character designs, so I chose to prioritize that in my entry. The piece I produced for this contest showcases Lore, the creation super-deity of my headworld, Aquilli, found bringing another canine into creation through magic! She uses a magical Creation Key, which is always kept close to her heart.

Each of my characters tend to symbolize and represent different things I value, prioritize, navigate-- and Lore represents creativity and imagination. She is the figure in my headworld that's often charged with creating many creatures to inhabit the world of Aquilli. In her long history, she's created many creatures! Like her, I have created many creatures, too. To date, I believe I've created somewhere over 1100+ animal-related designs for a wide array of folks over the last several years. If I had an art avatar, I think Lore would be it!

Lore is full of symbolism-- her autumn/sunset-hued tail and inner ears symbolizes my love of autumn and is also a gentle reminder of change and frailty of life. The subtle iridescence of her wings, known to produce a halo effect when the sun is shining on them, is a reminder of the use of color I like to try to achieve in many of my designs-- and a reminder of my love of sunshine and sunsets! The circle marking on her forehead symbolizes the things in life that are constant and things I tend to value-- primarily, unconditional love-- because no condition can waver it! Her beads and cross carried on forelimb represent faith and hope in things beyond the tangible. Long nails, paired with the thought of raking through hard soil, represent the grit and determination required to succeed.

All of these things lend themselves to the art I create and the creatures I conceptualize-- from the love of nature (like autumn and sunsets) that provide endless inspiration for my works, to the faith, hope and love, grit and determination that drives me to continue what I do.
