Ive been playing some Yokai Watch and it made me think what other Yokai from actual myths and legends could maybe be turned into Yokai Watch style monsters.
Now one of my favorite genre of yokai are the ones who are items come to life, due to being 100 years old, or getting a spirit in them. One object Yokai I found especially interesting was the Seto Taisho, a warrior made of porcelain bits and such:

''Seto taishō is a tiny little soldier pieced together out of chipped teacups, cracked dishes, and other miscellaneous utensils which a household no longer uses. Its face is a sake bottle and its armor is made of porcelain-ware. It runs about the kitchen on tiny spoons, wielding knives or chopsticks as swords or spears.

Seto taishō is highly aggressive, and loves to chase the cooking staff around the kitchen, causing chaos. It occasionally crashes into walls or cabinets, shattering to hundreds of pieces, and then slowly puts itself back together again to resume its miniature kitchen war.''

Due it being made from different kind of pottery and such there is some wiggle room for depictions. Kinda like how a rock golem can be drawn differently based on what shape of rocks it made from. Normally the Seto Taisho has a sake bottle as their head, but I found it fun to make the teapot thats normally its torso or on its back into the head instead. The spout becoming the nose, making it a bit more cartoony and adding some character to the face, which I think fits with the more cartoony style of Yokai Watch.

I made them part of the Tough Tribe, more or less the defender/tank class in the games. Some might think ''wait they are broken pottery, thats not tough or sturdy!'' Indeed, but the yokai can put i self together again. So i imagine its kind of like this self repairing infinite shield. It gets knocked out whilst guarding and is back up easily. Otherwise the Brave Tribe could also have worked since thats more the attacker class and Seto Taisho are warriors after all.

Now onto their yokai inspirits/effects.

Porce-Lame (Porcelain + Lame) is a shattered plate come to life. When it inspirits someone they become more clumsy, they let stuff fall more often and if they try to do something cool, their plans will shatter into pieces and they will end up just looking lame.

Set-o-Teasho ( Tea set/ Set of Tea + Seto Taisho) is a small, fragile, but fierce warrior. Their battlegrounds are ... in the kitchen! If stuff begins to fall in your kitchen for seemingly no reason, you may just have a Set-o-Teasho waging war near you.
