Crystal Quartz, Copper & Silver Filled Wire

one of the recent pieces i've completed. taken with my new crepe paper roses, which i made from a kit i bought on etsy. i'm really impressed with how they turned out!

as for the pendant, i've started testing out some new shapes and sizes and this is one of the results. i've done this one like an experiment... the leaves have 'overgrown' the frame. what do you think?

inspired by hoarfrost on the trees, which i still have pictures of to upload... man, i am slow. it's been WEEKS since i took those pictures...

I like the overgrown concept and I too wish to see it with stones in a different colour ^_^.

A bit OT, but... I was looking for the tree you chose as your avatar pic, but can't seem to find it. Have you got a bigger image of it uploaded elsewhere maybe? ^^

ah, i'm glad you like it! i will try some more with the extras on the edges, this time in something not quite so transparent...

and as for my avatar pic, that was the very first tree i ever made. i still have it, but i don't have a better picture of it! took that picture several years ago, and between all the times i've formatted my computer, the image was lost somewhere. perhaps i'll get another shot of it one of these days and upload it.

If you can take another bigger snapshot of that tree I'd be delighted. Also to better appreciate your first work with such a subject ^^.

I love the idea behind this one, and I think you did a lovely job with the design of it. However, I do think it would look better with colored stones, because the strong copper next to the pale stones really makes the outer pieces feel like they aren't as much a part of the tree as the frame. Greens would look great with this design, or probably any other color (I am just very partial to greens with copper myself.) Great work though! It is a very interesting piece.

Ooo. I really like how this one is a bit different from your usual (which is also good). It's got a very wild feel to it.
