Description I have had this book of 2-page shorts for a LONG time. All the shorts consist of a splash page and a panel page of the Treasure Hunters, a comic I created with my friend Albert way way back early in our Highschool career.
Some of the shorts date back to 2003! Wow. Some were done by me, some by Albert.
This particular short I did earlier this year when I realized I haven't contributed to the book in 2008.

Dude this is excellent! Your style is so potent and recognizable. Not something we all have. Great coloring and I really like the thick outlines.

Everything is colored in shades of grey. Then I just colred her top and her hair. I like using only one or two colors with greys.
Thanks for looking.

Comic-

things i notice-
-your obvously doing a great comic and this would be helpful to me since I'm doing a comic soon also-
-nice color style and clothing design

Questions-

-what are your drawing materials used for this?
-whats your motivation?
-what do you use or go to in order to draw your art?

First let me thank you for your kind remarks. And in response to your questions:
1.Materials used for this and most of my drawings are:
-soft lead pencil (for sketching and drawing detail)
-I use "Fabre Castelle" pens and for smaller detail "Pigma Micron" pens (.01, .005,. or even .003)and Sharpie markers for thick lines.
-Coloring is mostly done with "Copic" Markers. These are great but costly.

2. My motivation for this one like my motivation for most of my things, attractive women. I like drawing, cute, and or sexy, hot women. The female form is beautiful and always fun to draw.

3. Sources for insipiration are lots of things:
-comic books, generally older ones (1970's-80's Uncanny X-men, Conan, etc.)
-great artists (Art Adams, John Buscema, Bret Blevins, and on and on)
-movies of all kinds. and music too.

Basically I think I just wanted to draw these characters, whom I created, in a Western theme, but not a traditional western (hence the bikini tops). I also like using grays with just a little bit of color. I have another example of this I'll post up a little later today I think.
