Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz. The highlighting, toning and shading are always my enemies.

you seems to focus on cell shading a lot but you could also try different brushes you know ; v ;

I am more of a cel shading one.
For the brushes, I only stick to the airbrush in SAI.
In Photoshop when I do my finishing touches, I cheat using Gradient, Satin and sometimes Bevel.

as for gradient you should try not to make it to extreme- o v o;;

Can't be helped. I like how the result turned out with Satin and sometimes bevel. I used gradient when I get lazy to shade. |-P
