－"Evangeline, there are nothing to worry about. God loves all of us equally just if you are being good."
This was the word which Mr. and Mrs. Anathembalm loved to tell meThey used to tell it to comfort me at every times I claimed them that I felt lonely and not lovedDespite how many times I annoyed them because of my loneliness, they always tried to comfort me by telling such warm words

But my mind had never been moved by them

－"Why does God love all people equally?"－"Why doesn't God love only me?"－"Why does God more help other people, but not me, despite my misfortunes?"－"Why did God give me such unreasonable painful fate? And why doesn't he make up for it?"
When I told those feelings in my mind, I was always admonished by Mr. and Mrs. Anathembalm
－"Eva, all people deserve to be loved by God. It's not only you who suffer and need him.
But you shouldn't be trapped by such jealousy. Stop worrying, because you are the one of his children to be loved."("But it doesn't make sense to me.")－"Care about other people too. Be polite. Be a good person. Then your mind will be helped."("Why should I care about other children. I'm the most unfortunate one in all of other children.")－"If you understand, let's go to a church to pray. It's good and important to do for yourself."("I don't need that. I just want you to love me right now.")

None of other children in my orphanage agreed with my feelingAs soon as they discovered my feelings in my mind, they started criticizing me as I was the wrong person
－"Hey Sally, did you know? Eva hates God just because she can't monopolize his love."－"How arrogant and rude! Eva should be punished in the hell for once."－"Hey Eva, you should stop being such greedy! It's not too late to change your mind!"－"Yeah. We recommend so because we care about you, do you understand?"
("Mean kids.... you all don't know how much unfortunate I am. Then you don't have any rights to throw such arrogant words to me!")
－"Shut up. Never throw such arrogant words to me again. You are not my superior brother nor sister, never!"－"Huh, lil sis. Then okay. Go to find your own God if you can find. But don't dirt our religion by your ugly desires."－"Yes he is right. Although we're sure that you will not find such person."
("Idiots. I will find "my own God" absolutely... someday... ")

In this orphanage managed by a church, I had been isolated and hated by amount of peopleSo, "Black Sheep" was my nickname there

Evangeline is a mother of my other OCs: Mizaline and Mizael.

But here, I've drawn a scene in her childhood.

In her childhood, she lived in the orphanage built by a church. And so, the managers of this orphanage (Mr. and Mrs. Anathembalm) raised orphans there based on their religion.

Some children followed their religious educations, some didn't. Yet amount of those different children could get along with each other by having respects to each other.

But how about Evangeline? She might be the one who was negative to their educations too. But how she still tried to change their religion to something comfortable only for her personal desires had offended many believers there. I won't lie that some believers were offensive as Evangeline too, but there were enough reasons for her to be hated by amount of people there.

This childhood built a lot of her unsettled identity and low self-esteem which harmed her entire life.

(By the way, I would like to say here that I'm not in either side: that those religious children's or Evangeline's. I'm not trying to criticize any real religions by this picture, I'm just being a story-teller who introduces their stories without my personal emotions.

I told it since I'm a bit nervous anytime I post something related to religions, but offending someone is always not my wish. Thanks for understanding.)
