Description Finally, a piece that I am actually slightly proud of. I ran across a DA account that had a ton of equine photos for other artists use (link below). I found a really awesome jousting picture and it really inspired me. I didn't copy it exactly as you can see that I took many artistic liberties to make changes on the horse itself. I did this in my sketchbook and scanned it... so of course I am slightly dissapointed in the lack of quality in the scan. It kind of bleached the picture out a little bit but that happens.

Media: This was drawn entirely with a ball-point pen on .... paper lol. I did slight touchups on photoshop with the color tinting and removing all the nasty scanning smog from the drawing

Hours: WAY too many lol. probably around 5-6 hours

This is amazing! O_O I have never even attempted to do a quality drawing in pen. xD But you have inspired me! Perhaps.. sometime in the future.

Thank you very much!! One day I didn't have a pencil so I was like "what the heck, Ill try to shade with pen" and it actually works very well. I deffinately prefer it to pencil drawing because you don't smudge your own work as much. You'll have to show me your finished pen drawing Id love to see it. Thanks for the fav too !! Im glad I can at least be an inspiration to someone

Amaaaazing. Obviously, due to my previous comment, I totally thought this was done in pencil. Great shading gradations for using pen; it looks so smoooooth. e__e
Again, I just love the tack; the bridle and bellystrap especially. I'm just so lazy with tack that I appreciate it when other artists do a good job with it. Nice work. X3

Yeah I was a little bit confused by what you wrote originally. Thanks again soo much for your encouragement. Im glad that you like it. I normally dont add tack (much less a rider) to my horses because it takes so much extra time but I figured a jousting horse wouldnt be complete without some fancy tack. I had to reference everything except the bridle though.

Great job! ItΒ΄s nice to see how much trouble you have seen with the details, especially with the horse. The shading is spot on.
