One might assume Samantha is about to be squeezed into submission before being devoured, which can be said to be technically correct. However the squeeze was barely a firm hug, and while Samantha could have fought on easily enough, she had a weakness for hugs, and happily surrendered. She was still smiling as she was swallowed.
