Description
In his 1933 story The Thing on the Doorstep, H. P. Lovecraft described:
"the ancient, mouldering, and subtly fearsome town...witch-cursed, legend-haunted Arkham, whose huddled, sagging gambrel roofs and crumbling Georgian balustrades brood out over the centuries beside the darkly muttering Miskatonic."
Welcome to Arkham, a town with a slight monster problem though not as bad as nearby Innsmouth and Dunwich.
Ghoulish fiend lurking in dark alley was inspired by every weird Lovecrafttian story I read throughout my childhood, including the one called The Hound about a couple of grave-robbers who got more than they bargained for when they robbed this infamous grave in a Holland cemetery. The monster here kind of resembles the one described in the story.
Done using PhotoSuite 4 and PhotoShop Elements. Took all day and most of the evening to complete. Jan. 11 2010.

May I ask where the monster head came from?
Barracuda?

Well, actually, the main part with the lumpy texture is actually from a piece of wood I scanned or maybe it's a gourd of some kind. It's really strange-looking. The rest of the face came into being after I looked at different kinds of animal skulls including a gila monster.

Well, they have like four pages of new entries, but ever since they raised their artistic quality, I think more people are getting rejected. Basically if it doesn't give off enough bad vibes they not going to take it. I'm rather puzzled as to why my stuff is being rejected, because it looks better than some of the stuff featured.

Too much bad vibes is "evil."
It is an ocean and you will find the venue no doubt.
