The barrel is way too short. It looks nothing like a sniper rifle. Unless it's extendable, which would be cool.

If the Halo DMR was a Pegasus stallion and the Battle Rifle a Unicorn mare, then the DSSR would be a pegasus colt that looks like its mother.

Used the SRS for primary inspiration along with DSR. It was actually going to be a bolt action as well, or manually cycled in some respect, but my story requirements favoured a semi-auto.

I was going to make it 11x50mm, a sort of 'short' variant of my 11x109mm used in my HMGs, but figured that was pushing it into anti-materiel territory and knocked it back.

Not at all, but for this one I just wanted a regular sniper rifle (has a bit part in my story, just with a suppressor). I'll probably do the SPSR version with a longer barrel and some other differences, like a bulged out receiver to accept a larger staggered mag for 11x109mm and a more powerful scope.Β
