Description
2015-model Aurossi Phantom RX, a 102-year-old antique motorcycle owned by Ayden Sato circa 2117.Since I'm terrible at drawing motorcycles I used a photo of an MV Augusta F4 for line-art reference, added a few original variations and then coloured and shaded it. How I wish I could draw by hand everything with this kind of detail. Ah well.

Military and police cycles are the flying airbike types like my Swift (the one where I mixed up the designation initials in the pic /facepalm), while civilian bikes are all electric wheeled types that differ between Tron-style lightcycles and more familiar but minimalist designs. Haven't finalised any ideas for those yet, apart from the wheels being spokeless as all future bikes dictate
Plenty of people in story, like Saela, are quite apprehensive about riding on a century old gas-powered motorcycle not matter how well maintained it is.

nice choice in line art to be used, I have a few vintage cars in my world that characters drive.

Cheers.
Still trying to nail down my civvie car designs. Something along the lines of the new i8 perhaps.

Ha, weird coincidence. I was looking at it in a Beamer magazine yesterday and remembered seeing it in MI4. Future cars for me are difficult to think up since they change so often, as opposed to military vehicles which retain some similarity to one another decades apart. I did consider flying cars, but decided they would be used on some alien worlds only, and I want to avoid anything overly boxy. Something of a blend between the i8 styling and those of the cars in Demolition Man is what I'll probably aim for.

Personally I take into account for cars that people seem to want more an more retro designs So what i am going to do is take my cars that I drew and futurize them. the great thing about hte military rides is that they rarely make huge changes design wise vs what moves them is what changes. As for flying cars they need massive amounts of data to fly right and then there is fuel. Not to mention it will move like a present day fighter jet so learning to drive is going to be massively complicated.

Indeed. I'm going to stay largely contemporary when it comes to the bulk of my transportation ideas. Anything that does fly in populated areas that isn't a true aircraft uses an AA for flight control (going manual is for extreme emergencies only) and a V-Non power source with ion propulsion. Smaller civilian cars on the other hand use hydrogen or vespomide battery packs, depending on their requirements. Buses and monorails are the alternative transport methods. Cars can latch onto automated freeway systems but surface street operation is manual.

My Seqari use a lot of shuttle type craft to get around, or public transport systems, but only inside the environmental domes. Outside they use tracked snow vehicles or heavy VTOLs on account of the harsh weather. Shuttles are used for hops over relatively short distances, but by and large most vehicles are land only.

oh a snow world just remeber when making one you'll need some form of vegetation and liquid water.

Indeed. Have harsh vegetation the closer youΒ get to the equator in addition to plants that grow underground, where a large amount of liquid water is found, melted by geothermal activity.Β
