The F-70 Super Viper is an enhanced variation of the F-70 Viper introduced to the Escean military in 2096. This overhauled aircraft includes: increases in engine performance; a lightened and strengthened airframe; digital avionics upgrades; and an improved artificial assistant program (MONA - Military Operation Network Assistant). Manufactured by the Nexus Aerospace Terrestrial Division (NATD), the F-70 is a day-night, all-weather air superiority fighter developed for the Escean Navy and Air Force. Originally contracted by the Department of the Navy, and approved by SAPROC (Senatorial Arms Procurement Committee), the F-70 was designed from the ground up as a carrier-capable fighter, with the reinforced landing gear, folding wings, and arrestor hook typically installed onto such aircraft. The Escean Air Force ultimately obtained the same model, given its suitability for land-based runways, and merely deleted the arrestor hook. 

Capable of Mach 3.1, the Super Viper uses a pair of J800 Ion Electric engines with 50,000lbs of thrust per. Although the F-70 is powered via refuellable vespomide cells, and thus utilises ion plasma, it carries a reservoir of aviation fuel for afterburning. These engines are capable of thrust vectoring, and are shrouded by a tiled trough designed to reduce the aircraft's heat signature. The lower plate may pivot in line with the engine nozzles when directed downward, so as not to impede on the manoeuvrability. The F-70 is a super manoeuvrable design, allowing the aircraft to adjust its position relative to other aircraft in hypothetical dogfight scenarios. 

Stealth aspects of the aircraft are included in its shape, S-duct engine intakes, and coating. The cockpit canopy is designed to prevent intrusion of radar energy, and all receiver and transmitter units are kept inside the aircraft skin. Weapons are carried internally in bays, and the aircraft's cannon is hidden by a panel that opens to permit firing and closes immediately after. The aforementioned exhaust shroud lowers the thermal signature of the plane. 

Super Vipers can carry a variety of weapons internally. They are typically outfitted with a dedicated air-to-air, or air-to-ground loadout. In both instances, the aircraft will carry four AIM-12 'Dogleg' short-range all-aspect missiles for defensive purposes. In air-to-air configuration, the F-70 carries the long range AIM-40 'Longsword' for targeting enemy aircraft OTH. In air-to-ground configuration, the F-70 can carry 3000lbs of bombs in the GBU-39 300lb Small Diameter Bomb, a precision guided device.
