Is the rust painted atop the white, or did you paint a thin layer of white over the rusty colors and then sand it off?

The rust is on top of the white. I actually used some new paints that I got to add texture to it too, so the rusty bits have more of a corroded texture to them as well.

I can't tell if you are joking about the visor or not, but even if it is a joke this looks quite decent. Really does look like rust especially on the sides where it seems to be 'dripping'

Wow, well that is even more impressive. I'm assuming it's just glue of some sort holding the visor in place, or just friction. For that matter what is the visor? As in material wise?

The visor is a piece of clamshell packaging bent into the right shape, which I then used green stuff to keep in place, and painted over it after is dried.
