Hm. Based off a Smith & Wesson, right? Pretty excellent picture; you did a superb job with the appearance of the blue finish.

You know, I've noticed that, in painting at least, that when you want something grey or silver to look awesome, you can shade it using all sorts of diluted colors, and it makes for awesome effects

Haha, never extactly that good at water colour painting.
The coloru pencils still have that effect but maybe not as powerful as you say.

Well, I recently started painting with Acrylics, you'll see my latest piece in a little while, still puttign the finishing touches on it, but yeah, it does make things more vibrant. xD

Haha, i've started acrylic recently as well. But not really colourful, not at all.
Kinda black and white, using that to express buildings. Kinda looks like a sketch, so I'm still learning XD

Ah you're getting acquainted with it, well that's good, but a big part of painting is to go at it fearlessly D:

Haha, so true. But due to my 'realism' background, I guess it's hard to go fearless at times lol

I know what you mean, that's what I feel sometimes too, while my teacher just takes the brush from me and says "no, I meant like this" and does something totally outrageous and I'm all D: YOU'RE NOT BEING DELICATE ENOUGH xD

And so I go over what he does with more detail. I guess the putting in little details for me comes from using the mechanical pencil so much.

OMg, completely the same experience with that!
Jesus, everytime my acrylic eacher snatches my paintbrush and does it in his style, I go complete INSANE
So true, since I was brought up in a detailed sketching background, I guess there's no way I can live with simple strokes, lol.
But nowadays, it's really the art with simple strokes that are popular since they are unique in every artists.

xD

Well, look at ti this way, one thousand strokes can do nothing, while three or four strokes of a brush could produce a masterpiece. That's just the way it is :S, besides, everyone has their own perspective on what "real" art is.

SOme define it as anything that makes you feel a certain way due to its stimulation on any of ones senses.

Haha, well my perspective of art is different.
As long as it's something skilful and beautiful (hence the term 'art' is used for 'art of music' and 'art of crafting') etc. like that.
