I don't like hondas/acuras much, but I like you.
This is a great message.

I saw a billboard today for the Lexus IS F with 416HP with some slogan like "Worth traffic school."

Same concept, good message.

Hey man, I never said hate. I just don't like hondas/acuras much. Not my choice in cars. Suffice it to say, they're the cars I break recreationally the most when I visit the junk yard.

Doesn't mean I dislike people who like them, just because they like them. I gave a jump start to a dude with a honda the other day even!

Nice. I just like photographing cars in general. Me and most of my friends just happen to own Honda/Acuras because it's all we can afford LOL!

You'd be surprised what you can afford if you know how to look. Is that your integra in the picture?

Was. Sadly...it was stolen. (another problem with owning Hondas) I drive the RSX now.

I bought an oldish BMW for a grand and am putting a later engine in it. I've got the wiring to finish up and modifying the shift linkage, but, just to show what you can do with not a lot of money. 1800 total put into it so far. Parts from the old engine will be sold to make it more like 1200 total.
Cheap.

That's actually my next goal. I really want to own either a 1 series or a M3 within the next 4-5 years.

Haha, so it sounds like you have more money than I do.
I've got maybe 4 grand including investments such as my car, parts for resale and all of my variously scattered funds an debts.

I suppose if I tried really hard I could get something like that but I like working on my old cars.

Mine's a 1986 325e with a 1991 525i engine in it. You want a new M3 or older one?

I'm looking at maybe picking up a 2001 M3. New one would be nice, but that's not happening.

E46 era. Good choice in my opinion. I think if I chose any 3 series regardless of cost and I can't resell it, I'd take one of those. I assume the S54 engine is based on the M54 like S50 is based on S50 so it'd be easy to work on, at least, understandable. I like the look and not bad on gas (Unless you have an M3). One of the nice things about M50 is that you can stroke it get custom pistons crank, rods and cams and pretty much make your own S50 from a standard M50. My friend's doing that to his after he turbos his M20 and sells it. I'm just gonna supercharge mine.

I'd take the same you're going. Much simpler.

Yeah. Gas is still expensive for me, so 200 hp in a 2400lb car is just dandy. Supercharging will make it more power but worse on gas, but that's something I can turn on and off. Besides that I already paid 300 dollars for custom exhaust and I don't want to deal with a turbo.

Before I bought the car, and until I finish it to drivable, I'm stuck with a 120hp volvo 240 that eats gas like a mother. I drive the E30 with the old engine when I got it. 122hp 176ft-lb and I was totally awed by how it felt to drive a car that actually could move.

Yea that's why I'm sticking with economy cars for now.

Lol, anything beats volvo @20mpg. M50 in E36/E34 with stock driveline gets like 22-26mpg, with the low differential and overdrive in the E30 driveline, people have gotten 30mpg. I'm pretty happy about that.

My bad, I meant RSX. I wasn't looking at the picture and was thinking about how integra headlights look like my car's in the dark.
