OMg I finally finished this one!!!
This is the request asked me since last year.
The picture consisted on demostrating both Pokemon main stories, the ANIME and the MANGA. Each character has a representative in the "other side" so they are mirroring each other. Also adding a little darker color to the manga side because the manga is a little more violent and dark than the anime, which is cheerfull and more for kids. Also adding the tittle "The two sides of the story" which is actually hencej18 fanfiction about a world where both "sides" meet.
I decided to draw them handmade... yeah the lineart is handmade, because they where TOO many characters I needed to draw, and since i also needed to "mirror" each one, I thought it would be easier... but ahh! I lost propootion many times as you can see. And then coloring was a whole challenge for me.
I reallly hope you like it, and Im really really really sorry about super lateness.

I do like the manga, but if it weren't for the show I probably never would have known about pokemon at all....... And I think Ash is more believable than Red. Red never tried to hard, good things kinda just came to him.

I agree with you in that XD yeah If it wasn't for the anime I wouldn't have known Pokemon at all... well maybe yes but not as that interested.
then I dissagree with that XD acually Ash has much more luck and many things came to him too XD I mean, legendaires, pokemons, event's, friends... a LOT of luck defeating gym leaders sometimes... XD both have their own luck XD

Well Red isnt that believable. He's just an invincible kid that cant be stopped . Ash is more real if you get my drift.

yes I know but he is based off the player of the games. and the games are programed so that eventually you'll win, and no matter what you'll still be "The Best" that transfered over to Red. Ash had to work for his strength. Heck Red is never even shown training.

I used to view Red like that too actually. But the FRLG arc made a more believable character to me, with everything that went on, and how he lost faith in himself.

IMO, the anime is going nowhere at the moment. I gave up watching it at the start of D/P, then when B/W started airing I wanted to see if it was actually going to get somewhere. But alas, Ash's Pikachu lost to a level 5 Snivy. (being unable to use electric-type attacks is no excuse, it's not that effective on grass-types anyway! one Iron Tail could of KO'd it)

It's almost two years since I requested for this artwork. I'm glad that many people favor PokeSpe over the anime, although if it wasn't for the anime I wouldn't have discovered Pokemon. And about my PokeSpe/Anime fanfic, I just posted chapter 21. If anyone reading my post is interested in reading my fanfic, please check it out. and yeah I don't think the anime is bad anyway, because if it was I wouldn't be interested in pokemon from the beginning, but after you read the manga, you can see the difference >0<

It's also thanks to the anime that I like Pokemon. I've watched it since the very first episode came out in my country and I tried Pokemon Yellow, but I knew no English at the moment, so I never even delivered Oak's Parcel. The very first game where I knew what I was doing was HeartGold.
