You find stock textures, and play around with the layer modes (like overlay, multiply, etc) in Photoshop/Sai 2/GIMP etc. But it's all about not overdoing it and experimenting to see what look nice. I tend to overlay several different textures, and use a big, soft brush to erase parts where I don't want it x3

really though
dig is so good
it only does 10 damage but flip a coin and if it's heads, regardless of what the oppenent does, it can't deal damage o0r status effects
