Full viewDuring each cycle of the year, a god must take task to spread their powers upon the land so that the terrian may change its season. Going into a 'Supernatural' state, they are extremely powerful, but also vulnerable to things that usually are no threat to a god in their 'immortal' state... One factor being death.
Here, we see the breath of winter striding his turn across Yoseka, hoping no one will bother him. Brother to the moon, and ruler of the tundras, ee is thought to be heartless and cold like the ice he came from. Still, though this is far from the truth.
He is Lynto.
Before anyone says anything, this is a collaberation with .
I sketched/scribbled out the picture, 'inked' and colored, and shaded the wolf. The breath and eye glows are mine too... though I prolly shoulda let of you done em Lyre.
She colored the background, gave it texture, and interpreted some vague scribbles of bushes I had.
Also I colored the rock(though she drew it) lawl.
Lyre if there was something else you wanted to add please tell me and I'll mail you the PS file!!!
I tried tweaking the ice and totally failed at it. So i just left it be. ><"
This is probably my favorite pic in my gallery.. Because it has a background that doesn't suck, but is the opposite of sucking(catch my drift?). I guess this is a sample of what DC's art will look like, more or so less detailed(we'll see how far details go lol).

I love the colors you chose for Lynto, and the shading style, too. His markings are distinct, but the shadows on his fur are soft and blended well. Good job
Hmm... it shouldn't be necessary to send me the file, but you might want to try dragging the rock's color layer beneath one (or two, or three XD however many I had...) of the grass layers, so that the bottom of the rock is blended into the bg.
Of course, that means you'll have to clean up the grass in certain areas that would cover the rock in an unnatural way, but if you have trouble, just send the file over ^ ^

Absolutely beautiful background and coloration in this pic Kahea. From Lynto himself, you really portrayed his tiredness of the energy needed to keep himself in a mortal form, and the changing seasons beneath him just add to the awe of his great strength. Wonderful work here.

It's good to see I potrayed him so that people can understand the task of the gods easily. I was afraid my image would come out too vague.
Of course we gott give Lyre(the BG ariist) her love too.. whenever she friggin signs on.

OMFG this is awesome >.> I do like the background, tis very detailed, but the subject is just as important! I do like Lynto, he looks freakin awesome >:3 I love his eyes and his fur patterns and colors. They are beautiful ^^ Hmm...I do have a question about him though. Is it me, or does he look tired? Is that becuase he's mortal? Or is it becuase he's using his powers to change the season? Anyway, wonderful job on this entire picture

Hmmm I would say it's because he's been traveling... The gods have to cross many many miles quickly in this state, but also being in this supernatural state drains their energy quite a bit.
He's also just a cranky-ish character... Not heartless, just more like "why am I with these idiots -.-"
