Merida !!Just watched the movie (it was so freaking awesome, Pixar and Disney never fail; I laughed and cried) and when I got home, I grabbed my pencils and made a doodle of her ^^ I'm so in love with her hair !! So wild, fiery and flowy
I also love her character, she's different from the past princesses before her It was weird because while watching the movie, I had the strangest urge to make some fan art of her xD Well , I had fun with this and pls. fave and comment !
Hmm .. her face and hair are new to me (different from my usual style) , but I like it and it was a refreshing change

Argh i hate you. I want to watch Brave so bad. The animation and art looks gorgeous.. >.<
After i saw the trailer i was like, " I'm totally gonna watch this movie because her hair looks freaking awesome! " lol that did NOT make sense.
How did you manage to color all that hair?! It looks messy but neat!

xD Ahaha .. the movie was awesome !! Yeah, everything is well-detailed and the animation is so fluid 
.. I just took 3 shades of color: orange, red orange and red. When I finished coloring the skin, (no lineart for hair, I just .. colored) I took the orange and did random squiggles starting from her crown. Afterwards I drew squiggles using the red orange. Afterwards I used the orange to color in between the squiggly lines. Once the hair is colored, use the darker shades to give it depth. I added a few more strands of hair using all three colors too ^^
