I guess this would be my version of what Mark Meltzer looks like. He's the guy who's searching for his daughter, who was taken by the Big Sister.If you don't know who he is check out There is Something in the Sea. It's pretty awsome site!
Btw everything was drawn by me except that one picture of the Big daddy doll.

Um so okay, I am RPing Mark over on livejournal. I was hoping I could borrow this image for iconing purposes? It's what he looked like in my head for a long time because of you. (Way before the game came out--his passport photo doesn't look nearly frazzled enough.)

I found this guy. Sadly, I don't think he ever found his daughter. He was indeed a Rumbler. I didn't find a SINGLE ONE of his Diaries. And I've already returned the game to my friend. Eff.

I have Bioshock 2! Just got it today! Mark metlzer is so asome, i hope he's still alive though found 4 diaryies of him.

I'm not sure how many diaries he has, but one is about finding Gil Alexander so he can take him to Lamb and the other one well it would pretty much spoil what happens to him.

he becomes a rumbler and you get to kill him, after killing him you find a audio diary and when you search his corpse instead of saying rumbler it will say mark meltzer

Still wonderful work on Mark, hopefully this much of a lead will be brought up in the game, and nicely done work for detailing his desk, especially with this documents and photos!

I love Mark, I really hope we see him in Bioshock 2, I mean he is so close to finding Rapture, and if he dosn't make it, I will find the little sister that looks the most like his daughter and save her.

Did you write a letter to him? Since his address is on the letter in the typewriter currently, a lot of people are (or already have) sent letters to that address and gotten some stuff back in return. It's some pretty awesome viral marketing on 2K's part, in my opinion!

This is wonderful, the style and characterization are great! I love how he's holding his cigarette, examining the letter, and holding a stressed conversation over the telephone all at the same time. You definitely captured him well.

He seems so real here... all the elements of his character are evident and integrated flawlessly, and it's a beautiful piece of art, as well. 
I cry every time I visit that site. XD They put so much effort into it... I wonder if it'll ever go the way of Heroes 360, with all the weird texts and real locations. That'd be epic.

Me too! Mark is a great fellow. And maybe he'll get in on the action at some point... Seems like, right at the moment, Big Sister's plan is to "revitalize" Rapture by reintroducing ADAM and ruling over it with an iron fist. Perhaps she plans to share its glory with the surface... and Mark would be on the front lines to stop her. *insert BioShock fangirl episode*

Very nice work, your characterisation of him really fits his letters! I especially like the way he's holding the phone, and the colouring style suits the sort of person he comes across as (Man, I really do hope he plays some part in the game)!
