Description
The latest in my selection of obscure character fanart is Sparrow from the French cartoon series Tara Duncan. I randomly found the show one day while looking for something new to watch, and this series about magic users seemed interesting. I’m not even quite halfway through the series yet, but it only took me an episode and a half to decide that Sparrow was my favorite character. The main reason I wanted to draw her so soon was I thought her outfit was cute, so I wanted to see if I could draw it myself.
So even if you’re not familiar with Tara Duncan (even I wasn’t until only recently), you can at least appreciate a fashionable French girl!

Another show I've never even heard of. But at least this one seems relatively obscure.

Indeed. It's from 2008, and seems geared towards a slightly younger audience (kids 10-14 maybe?), though the three main characters (including Sparrow here) are all 17 years old. Halfway through watching and there's no true backstory (references are made but no real worldbuilding) and no overall series arc. It's mostly a "villain-of-the-week" show, but still fun to watch. It is based on a book series, and being French animation, there are a few stylistic things lifted from Japanese anime, since the two countries have had a cultural exchange for quite a long time now.

Thanks, though "cute" is usually what I try for.
