Description
How do they depict Greek mythology? Everyone wields bronze shields and swords, wears strange helmets, and the clothing is classic Greek, complete with fantasy elements. That mortal heroes and heroines look like this is understandable.
But the gods and their servants? What if they wore nineteenth-century clothing with some fantasy and classical elements added?
In my world, on Earth, the power of the Olympian gods was based on techno-magic. This was an automaton, one of the guardians of Olympus. These were analog, mechanical "robots", powered by clockwork mechanism, and steam. (Automatons still exists in the galaxy thousands of years later, now powered by an internal combustion engine.)
The idea is based on Roy Westerman's world of Neolympus. And some anime world, like Howl's Moving Castle.
