Kellan is what you could call a harpy, he's got freakishly long and scaly limbs. also wings. two pairs. his hair is also mostly feathers. and his nose is ridiculous and purply
Nolo is the west wind. yes. indeed. DO THE EARS LOOK FAMILIAR? DO THEY?!?
why can't the physical embodiment of the west wind fly? that's a fantastic question.
This picture is silly, that's why.
Anywhay, I worked on this for long time and there's more I could say about it- but I'm quite sleepy.

HOARY CRAP so much detail. It's so obvious when you color stuff that a lot of work went into it. Your backgrounds get better and better, too.. Godddd those cloooouds. Stop making me jealous.

sheet. i mean. GAWD. LOOKIT THAT. lawdy lawdy. YOU ARE LIKE... THE ESSENCE OF FANTASTIC. okay, i guess i better start on this bigass comment ::sigh::
i LOOOVE the colors on this! the composition is just about perfect! i love how you have such an eye for color combonations like that! the blue is just a gorgeous shade, and the golden brown and white and black just make the wings all the more breathtaking! the combonation is killer, not to mention the next to the sky backdrop. the composition really gets me, the way the wings envelope the picture really grabs the eye immidiately. it is simply stunning what you did with the small details, and light and shadow. the picture simply glows with charm and personality! it caught my eye immidiately and wouldn't let me go Cx
now for critique, since you asked for it. the girl seems a lot less worked on than the man. it might be because the wings had really worn you out, and honestly, it's not so big a problem that it's obvious, but her proportions looks off. thing is, since they're fantasy characters, it might just be a racial trait to have a really long mid-section, so i feel kind of bad for mentioning it XD it's just where the man's face is full of color and depth and character, the girl seems to bend strangely and i don't get much of a feeling of who she is as i do with the man. i don't mean to sound harsh when saying this, but i thought it might be worth mentioning. the upper body and arm are fabulous, but the belly button seems misplaced and the stomach alltogether seems out of order. again, sorry if this is a racial trait XD
BUT DON'T YOU DARE FOR A SECOND THINK I DON'T LIKE THIS PICTURE XDD not only do you really not notice that, but the picture is so flippin gorgeous that i feel idiotic for pointing anythign out. what i really love is the shading on the muscles in the man's arm. purple-ish, and not afraid to be in unconventional places instead of artbook-learned corners. the details ont he feathers and the man's outfit just takes my breath away. i can see you worked hard on the piece, keep being awesomer than pie and cream cheese! not many people can do that!

I get what you're sayin about the girl, I completely gave up on trying to color her skin after I went through about 20 layers. after a while, it was just "FAHH I HATE THIS AND I'M DONE."
I don't like how dull she looks in comparison to the guy but crap, I just got fed up with it.. light skin tones are a weakness. :c and I got lazy.
hahaha, and kudos to you for calling me out on the proportions, because yes, I definitely fudged that up. I don't know what it is about torsos- but I seem to always make them like ninety times longer than they should be. I'm gonna try to work on that in my future pictures!
