Description
Elkhart growled as the two youngsters tackled each other. Jay had worked hard on their training and he needed them to be in their best shape and on their best behavior for their Rite of Merit task today. Elk new this. The proud tokota nipped at the pups trying to get their attention. Their class would be starting anytime. Jay laughed at the slate roan curly's efforts and placed his hand on the back of his neck, scratching his thick white curls. He relaxed a bit before the bell rang signalling the tokotas to get to work. Jay encouraged the two pups to pay attention and they quickly jumped into the icey water. Jay cheered them on as they raced the timer, catching the largest fish. The time seemed to fly by but not fast enough for his three fishers. All their training had paid off. They had caught their allotted max they could catch for the day before the buzzer ever went off. Elkhart surfaced with his last catch before Jay signaled them out of the water. Of course the pups still wanted to play. Elkhart stood proudly on the ice as the two piebald pups dove back into the water. They just needed to cause a splash.
