Description
My lovely girlfriend was talking yesterday about a robin that was hopping around in her garden in the rain, and I started thinking about the fact that there's some sort of bird called a Robin pretty much everywhere, even if they're not actually at all related.Just a bit of fun, birds are always nice to paint.
(Probably could have added in a yellow robin for variety too, but there you go)

and again, how convenient that there are four robins (there were four male robins in Batman so far ... sorry, couldn't help it.. )
ahem, anyways, this is brilliant, I love the small one on the left
(Do you use Sai or Photoshop, if you don't mind me asking and if you have time to reply :3 )

All my work is photoshop; I've wanted to try Sai, but haven't ever gotten around to it.
And there were a couple of other Australian robins (including a cute yellow one) but I decided against squeezing them all in

Can't get over the quality of your "brush" strokes... they lend so much character to these little buggers. Were these sketched from photos?

I loves these Paintings. The brush strokes are fantastic.
This drug up some memories of collage. Being a environmental scientist I took a ornithology course and learned some amazing things about birds. I learned your better half will never eat chicken wings again if you point what parts are what and how there used in flight. I learned bird calls, they are great fun to know, the robin is very easy to pick out. You will hear it right before dawn that is if the sound of your anxiety attack from your all night cram session does not drown it out.
