Looks like it's pretty smoggy... I guess all the acid rain is what killed the tree. This is like the foreshawdowing of the Earth's demise... Crazy

It's lovely, the simplicity of it is wonderful. I thought it was a drawing, actually, the bird and tree look so stylized.

this is a beautiful image
so simple and sublime
such gorgeous colours
i love the silhouette
and the necker cube
trick that it plays on
your eyes.....the way
the backround and
foreground can flip
....i hope you know
what i mean by that
love it

thanks mate, check inot a Fuji PS2 or the new PS3 that will be coming out soon. I will be leaving this D100 behind.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stornn In reply to mrb24 [2004-07-11 00:13:52 +0000 UTC]

You're moving to the new Fuji? - S2 isn't much of an improvement over the D100, is worse in alot of areas with its craptacular battery system. I'd go D70 with its awesome kit lens if anything, and get some nicer glass. 1/500 flash sync rocks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

mrb24 In reply to stornn [2004-07-12 01:01:54 +0000 UTC]

That is why I will most likely wait for the PS3. The image quality on PS2 out shines the D100 easily. I will most likely use the D100 for my backup of action events.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stornn In reply to mrb24 [2004-07-12 03:23:30 +0000 UTC]

How so does it outshine the D100? Glass makes a big difference in image quality - reviewers and writers say they are both equal cameras. Also, I think the model name is S3 not PS3...

mrb24 In reply to stornn [2004-07-13 00:50:57 +0000 UTC]

you know what I meant! Any how, the effective output is something like 12 or 13 megapixels as compared to 6.1 which to me equals more information. The glass won't change so that is not a concern. I have spoken to several photo instructors who have settled on the fuji S2. As well as the photo center where I make all of my purchases, both the manager and head technical guy rate it higher then the Nikon's. The manager shoots professionally and that is his camera of choice as well. If money wasn't an option and I could buy all new lenses I would get a CANON Mark II

stornn In reply to mrb24 [2004-07-13 01:20:08 +0000 UTC]

, just kidding with the model designation thing. And the effective output is after interpolation. I'd have a look at Thom Hogans comparison first (www.bythom.com)

I could read and speak with a hundred people and get what I want to hear in the end...... the technologies is changing so fast....... I am willing to wait a bit to see if NIKON will come out with some new technology, they are due. Everyone has their particular opinions and I respect that. Thanks for the conversation kind sir. Keep up the good work.
