Description Recovery

We found this Leopard on an Impala kill and shortly after gorging herself she climbed this tree to rest. Unfortunately she was too tired out to drag the kill up with her and shortly thereafter a Hyena was on the scene to steal it from her. As she has two cubs she let the Hyena take it with only a few snarls and hisses - her life and protector of her cubs was more important to her. Besides she had eaten her full and the cubs were not weaned yet.

Great golden light. Did you manipulate the photo or was it coincidence?

As per the EXIF and additional info in the notes this was shot at night with the help of a spotlight on the vehicle and some fill-flash. Thanks very much.

What a beautiful creature!
Damn hyena's...I'm glad she was able to get her fill before they stole it from her.
