I always thought The Hog was the same creature as the Swine God from "House on the Borderland." A guest star in Carnacki, I guess.
I once sold a micro-story to "Necrotic Tissue" magazine, and just for fun I put Carnacki in it:
"It's a Looking glass book, of course!" said the little girl dressed as Alice. "And if I hold it up to a glass, the words will all go the right way again."
On stage, students recited Carroll's poem. Dr. Carnacki leaned toward Jessop.
"'Jabberwocky' is not nonsense," he whispered. "It's part of an incantation derived from Anglo-Saxon and Greek. Spoken correctly, it summons --"
Something exactly like Tenniel's reptilian monster ripped down the cardboard backdrop. It took two heavy steps, collapsed, and dissolved into gray slime.
"It's 'borogoves', not 'borogroves'," called Carnacki over the screaming. "Nobody ever gets it right."

was a very... interesting story... started out really well, really atmospheric and creepy... but then (for me) alot of things got hard to follow near the end.
Liked the idea of the Hog itself though.

Yeah I totally agree. I think it could have turned out quite differently, the machine thing was interesting but I just felt like there wasn't much payoff once the hog was glimpsed in the portal or whatever. I wanted it to come out and do some damage.

Man, I don't think I have to tell you but you really nailed the style. The one criticism I'd make would be the dude's eyes ... maybe some ref? Crap but it's hard to find Mignola eye references, unless you want sans pupil.

Well, It obviously is very Mignola, but I wasn't trying to match his stuff 100%. I have just been inking like this, but still drawing my own way as well.
Inking like him has just become second nature almost (for better or worse), I'm sure over time my style will show through more. So things like the eyes are intentional, as thats how I draw them.
