This is what M. R. James needed a century ago.  Marvelous.

Excellent take on this unusual ghost story! The creepiness of watching an event play out like that is excellent.

I have seen another version of the house on a James-based website. It did not actually show the haunting image, so you are the first, as far as I know.

Yeah I tried looking around myself and didn't really see much, so I figured I needed to fill a hole!

I love this story. This is great. I opened it and was like "HAH!" and then blinked and the dude was there. HAH.

Gorgeous inking, too.

Thank you! The inking was a lot of work but I think helped the overall aged feel to the piece

I was looking at the image, then scrolled down, then went back up again and the guy was just standing in front of the house. I actually let out a gasp.

Yes it was. And a favorite of mine.

I was gonna draw the creature from Canon Albrics Scrap-book like you had suggested I draw for Halloween, but I got the idea for this one and thought it came out nicely.

spooky stories!
