I have seen another version of the house on a James-based website. It did not actually show the haunting image, so you are the first, as far as I know.

I love this story. This is great. I opened it and was like "HAH!" and then blinked and the dude was there. HAH.

Yes it was. And a favorite of mine.
I was gonna draw the creature from Canon Albrics Scrap-book like you had suggested I draw for Halloween, but I got the idea for this one and thought it came out nicely.
