You know, that is a fantastic idea that I never thought of! I draw all my counters in Photoshop using pencil sketches (kind of like Sketchup, only not 3D). I'll have to check out that method.

You can make this two ways: only a flat topdown ship for markers or a full 3D model that u can also use for beauty shots or cover/inbook illustrations and for markers too. There are also many free models on the skethup market available to help speed things up, e.g., gun turrets for big ships.

Actually, I decided to download the program and work with it pretty extensively within the past couple of days. It's really exciting, thanks for inspiring me! It will really help with game graphics, as well as just perspective references and the like. Thanks again!

Awesome counters/graphics! Did you do all of those? I'd go nuts trying to make all those unit types with the level of detail you put into it.

Thanks for you comment. I,ve made the markers with Google Sketchup in a top view only. For more detailed Spaceships I used this Tutorial from Karanak: [link]
Then their done I exported them to Photoshop and made the Print Sheets.
