A sudden shower

falls blonde around meβ€”

a tickle, on my face

my neck, my chest

reaches up to the bluest

of skies, heaving in desire

to be soaked in strands

that hang like moments

caught beneath you.

Ah yes, we romantic poets must give proper credit to our muses, but isn't that why we write love poems, to praise and thank them for the ways their presence blesses and inspires us?

Our muses don't write, and neither does the love we bear for them. Writing is a joy, but it is also work, and when done well it should be recognized. So take your bow, be proud of your talent and your labor of love, and pass along my compliments to your lovely (and lucky) lady.
